為升讀Year 2做好準備

一如前文「Year 2 選科問題」所述，Year 2是最Crucial的一年，大家一定要小心選科。筆者之前建議，大家可在Year 2選修-

1. Tort Law
2. Criminal Law 或 Contract Law
3. Property Law (這科即Land Law)

有關Tort Law的建議
Tort Law在筆者修讀時，其Syllabus是九科中最闊，而且其題目可以mixed topics，例如Psychiatic Injury可以mix trespass to the person，也可以mix Occupier Liability!所以花在此科的時間也不少(但少於Equity & Trust)。

不過現在London U好像將其Syllabus收窄，應該比較容易應付。

在2014-15學年時，London U指出會修訂Tort Law的Subject Guide。然而截止今日，筆者依然未見到新的Tort Law Subject Guide。

那麼想為Tort Law做好準備，可以如何善用暑期的時間呢？

我建議大家可看看Textbooks。根據往年經驗，London U會於大家付Continous Registration Fee後寄以下的Textbook給大家－

Lunney, M. and K. Oliphant Tort law: text and materials. (Oxford: Oxford University Press, 2013) fifth edition [ISBN 9780199655380].

筆者看了London U 2015-16 Book List，發現London U會繼續以此為主要Textbook。我覺得這本Textbook不錯，但不夠Critical，要答Essays時論點不夠強。反而，London U列作Further reading的另一本Textbook比較有用，即－

Deakin, S., A. Johnson and B. Markesinis Markesinis and Deakin’s tort law. (Oxford: Oxford University Press, 2012) seventh edition [ISBN 9780199591985].

有關Criminal Law和Contract Law的建議
這兩科其實是Year 1的Subject。所以大家應已有Subject Guide(可在Portal download)。大家可先自行下載。之後多花時間看看頭三至五章(視乎你有多少時間)，包括Criminal Law的Building Blocks of Criminal Liability, Actus Reus和Mens Rea和Contract Law的Offer & Acceptance, Consideration以及Intention&Certainty。那大概大家在開學頭兩個月可以輕鬆跟上課堂進度。

有關Property Law的建議
而Property Law方面，其Subject Guide為2014版，十分updated，但當然只看Subject Guide合格有餘，不可能高分，大家有時間可多看London U送的Textbook-

Dixon, M. Modern land law. (Abingdon: Routledge-Cavendish, 2014) ninth edition [ISBN 9780415732345].

我覺得這Textbook十分好。不過若果大家時間不足的話，也可以看看雞精。芸芸雞精書中，我認為Oxford University Press的Concentrate系列最好，真的有助理解很多Land Law的概念-
